Giano VeTUSTO

Giano Vetusto is a village of 650 inhabitants in the Italian Comune of Campania. It is located  about 40 km (25 miles) north of Naples and about 20 km northwest (12 miles)  northwest of Caserta.

The name  derives from the presence of an ancient temple of Ianus or Janus in the area. This was the Roman god from whom we derive the name of the month of January.  The god of beginnings and endings, doorways, passages, duality and time.
